The POF-USA Minuteman 5.56 X 45 MM CQB CARBINE is a Direct impingement AR variant. It is an intermediate caliber rifle that is the same size and weight of the M4. It is capable of being chambered in 5.56X45 MM. See figure 1 below for size comparison to a standard M4.
The Minuteman CQB has many unique features that differs from the M4 for increased reliability. Some include the following:
Nitride Heat Treated Barrels and Bolt carrier assemblies - The Minuteman CQB uses corrosion resistant Nitride Heat treating on the barrel and complete bolt carrier groups.
Mission First Tactical – The Minuteman CQB uses only MFT products, such as the grip, stock, sights, and rail.
This weapon system gives the ability to engage targets at long distances as well as close quarter combat in a single weapon system without compromising weight.
Training for the POF-USA Minuteman 5.56 X 45 MM CQB CARBINE is minimal. The POF-USA Minuteman 5.56 X 45MM CQB CARBINE has many of the same controls a M4/AR style rifle has. Field stripping and cleaning are similar to the M4/AR style so training should only take 2-3 additional hours.
